Brethren,
I would like to thank all the members who attended our April meeting and also Brother Benedict from Corning Lodge No. 584, Corning, OH who presented a very informative program on the Retention of Members. It was also good to see four new petitions for membership to our Lodge. Pending a favorable report from the investigation committee, I’ll be asking volunteers among the brethren to be mentors to the candidates. I think it’s important that these potential members are guided and mentored through the process and encouraged to become involved with lodge after they become Master Masons. Please see me or any of the officers if you are interested in becoming a mentor. For May’s stated meeting we plan on having Bro. Grant E. Stufft from Lewistown Lodge No. 203 deliver a program on the Curse of Baphomet.
The clean up at Weis Fields was conducted Sunday, April 22nd. I’d like to thank Bro. Ned R. Swank PM, Cody Fisher (Ned’s Grandson), Harlold R. Dalious, and C. Richard Swank for their part in the clean up. Ten bags of litter were collected.
I'd also like to remind everyone of the upcoming events we have planned. First is our annual Ladies Night which will be held at St. Paul’s UCC in Numidia on May 19th at 6:00PM, tickets are $12.00. Remember I need to give at least five days notice as to the amount, so if you plan on attending, please let me know as soon as possible. We also have a Chicken BBQ scheduled for May 19th where we will be hosting free yard sale space to any memeber or guest of members. Yard sale space is limited so if you’re interested, please contact me. Volunteers are needed that day so if you can help out, please see myself or one of the officers. Lastly, our Gettysburg Bus trip is scheduled for October 6th. The cost is to be determined, but should be in the 25-27 dollar range. I’ll have the final price and sign up sheet at our stated meeting.
Thank you and hope to see you at our May stated meeting.
Fraternally,
Scott A. Kramer W.M.
